My brother told me about Carbe Diem. I’m on vacation in NY at the in-laws and I got a bunch of types sent to me.
I now have a REALLY good pasta replacement. Made up 2 boxes of the spaghetti. It’s a little on the thin side and cooks a big longer than your normal spaghetti, but my son couldn’t tell the difference and woofed it down.
The serving size is 2oz, and each serving has 16 net carbs. If you had a 16 oz box, it’s about 1/8th of a box. For me, 1/4th of a box is a pretty decent helping, which puts me at 32 net carbs for a spaghetti meal. Add meatballs and/or meat sauce to boost the protein. Lower carb sauce is also not a bad idea.
The boxes come in 12 oz instead of 16, and they cost more than a 16 oz box. This is most definitely something I want to stock up with!
I couldn’t really tell the difference. What you worry with “net carbs” when you do keto or low carb diets is that the net carbs usually takes into account some sort of fiber that destroys your insides. Nothing of the sort with this.
